Located in the heart of Los Angeles, Tartine Sycamore is not just another café; it’s a haven for food lovers and coffee enthusiasts alike. With its inviting atmosphere, this café is a popular spot for both locals and visitors looking to indulge in artisanal flavors and freshly baked delights.

The café specializes in a delightful menu that features an array of toasts, savory dishes, and expertly crafted coffees. Start your day with their Avocado Smorrebrod, topped with spicy jalapeños, crisp cilantro, and nutty pumpkin seeds – a harmonious blend of flavors perfect for avocado enthusiasts at just $7. For those who lean towards something more indulgent, the Smoked Salmon Tartine is a standout, elegantly layered with pickled mustard seeds, creamy dill spread, and adorned with fresh lemon; it’s a flavor profile that evokes the freshness of the sea for $14. If you’re in the mood for something sweet, the Pear Tartine drizzled with local honey is simply heavenly at $12.

No café experience is complete without a smooth cup of coffee, and Tartine’s Coffee Manufactory surely delivers. With choices ranging from a robust Espresso to a refreshing Cold Brew, you can find the perfect pick-me-up to accompany your meal. Complete your visit with their famous pastries, a delightful treat that patrons rave about; just ask a friendly staff member for recommendations!

The ambiance at Tartine Sycamore is a blend of comfort and casual charm. The seating is ample, making it an ideal backdrop for catching up with friends or diving into a much-needed work session. Customer experiences echo this sentiment. One patron, TJ Branksmill, shares, "The staff were super relaxed and friendly. The atmosphere was also very relaxed," underscoring the welcoming environment that Tartine offers.

However, some visitors have noted the price point can feel a tad steep at times. As Mariah Johnson pointed out regarding her turkey pastrami sandwich, the delightful experience was met with mixed feelings on the value for money. Nevertheless, most customers seem to agree that the quality of food and service outweighs any reservations about cost.

If you seek a place where quality meets warm hospitality, Tartine Sycamore is definitely worth the visit. Whether you're a local or just passing through Los Angeles, the rich coffee, delectable toasts, and inviting ambiance make for a memorable culinary experience that truly elevates your day.

I ventured into this cafe, excited to try their turkey pastrami sandwich with chicken skin and avocado. While the sandwich was decent, the price tag of $21 (inclusive of tax and tip) left me a bit puzzled, considering it was essentially a cold deli sandwich. On the plus side, the cafe had plenty of seating options, making it a convenient and cozy spot to meet up with friends. The ambiance was undeniably cute, and the service was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience.

Love their avocado toast here which they top with delicious seasonings and micro greens- which I also like to add an over medium egg or fried egg to. They also have equally delicious pasty options which are worth a try!

Coffee is good, pastry is good, but feels like a little bit overpriced. If you are tipping then its going to be price of a steak lunch for a croissant breakfast. But still good, would go.

If i could rate the price of a latte it would be a 1, but I gave 5 stars for good service and atmosphere because my $10 Tiny baby latte has nothing to do with those things. I ordered my iced 3 shot latte with oatmillk and when charged $10 I thought WOW, this is the most I've ever paid for a latte, it better be big and amazing (like Urth Caffe which is huge and cheaper) but when it came out in the smallest maybe 8oz cup I was so shocked I just literally laughed out loud. Luckily it was "good" & better than the tiny over priced coffee next door at Sightglass, but I think next time ill stick to Starbucks or Urth (if only it was walking distance like Tartine. Anyway you must be rich to drink coffee here. I do recommend the vegan avocado toast option, it's delicious and only about $5 more than a latte, so relatively cheap in comparison. I wish I could afford to drink the coffee here daily.

Came to Tartine for the first time this weekend and absolutely loved it. Can't believe I didn't know about this hidden gem all this time. The menu is really extensive, and their fresh pastries and sweets amazing. I had the Breakfast Sandwich and the brioche was so soft, and the dill mayo divine. I ate every bite. The staff were super relaxed and friendly. The atmosphere was also very relaxed and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I recently visited Tartine Bakery, and it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere and the staff is super warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious treat. I ordered the vanilla latte and it was absolutely fantastic—rich, aromatic, and brewed to perfection. But the true star of the show was the ham and cheese croissant. It was flaky, buttery, and packed with flavorful ham and gooey cheese. Each bite was a delightful combination of textures and tastes that left me wanting more. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Tartine Bakery for some of the best coffee and pastries around!

My daughter is new in town and stopped in just planning to grab a breakfast sandwich. From the moment she walked in, she was warmly greeted by three people, including (I believe) the manager, Johnny. He was so welcoming and made her feel right at home. Everyone here is incredibly kind, and the food is absolutely fabulous! Such a wonderful first impression. We will definitely be back again and again.

5 Stars This place nails it on every level—coffee, food, people, vibe. The espresso is top-tier (trust the barista named Johnny—he knows what he’s doing), and the fresh bread is no joke: warm, crusty, and the kind that disappears before your food even hits the table. Every dish I’ve tried feels dialed in—simple, fresh, and done with care. It’s also one of those rare spots that somehow pulls off being ideal for a work meeting, a casual hang, or just zoning in with your laptop for a few hours. The atmosphere is modern but warm, with just the right amount of bustle. You’re surrounded by a new little enclave of shops and restaurants, so it’s easy to turn a coffee stop into an afternoon outing. General Manager Jonny runs the place with that rare combo of attention to detail and laid-back charm—you feel like a regular by your second visit. Between him and Barista Johnny, the service here sets the tone: friendly, fast, and actually thoughtful. If you’re looking for a place that does all-day café right—this is it.
